Re: RE: Universal Newsreels |
Yes. I've been in this section. I was wondering IF there was any chance that the Universal Newsreels from the World War II era, (1941-1945) might have any chance at all of being added to the Universal Newsreel collections as part of what is already there.

Re: RE: Universal Newsreels |
I don't know the official word from the Archive (anyone?), but I do know that the
original source of these newsreels has digital versions of the World War II material, so I would _imagine_ they'd appear online at some point, yay.

Re: RE: Universal Newsreels |
Thnaks Skip! This is absolutley a magnificent historical documentation and although it is probably impossible to even fathom having all that were produced in the archive the selection so far is fantastic. On a related issue: Does anyone know the status of the Fox Movietone Newsreels? Is there a chance any of those would ever show up here in the archives or does Fox still hold the rights to all of them?

Re: RE: Universal Newsreels |
Many of the Fox newsreels are copyright. Many are not, but it is very difficult to source copies of the PD issues.
